Our Mission

One hundred million Americans suffer from chronic disease or permanent disability. This enormous problem inflicts suffering on individuals and families. The economic burden on our society is enormous and growing. The cost of treating chronic disease is estimated at $1 trillion and may grow to $6 trillion by 2050.

Today, for the first time in history, stem cell research offers real hope to those whose suffering has been called incurable. With better treatments and cures from stem cell research, our nation will benefit from reduced costs of treating chronic disease and disability.

At Americans for Cures Foundation, our mission is to support fellow advocates in the fight for stem cell research and cures. We clarify key issues in breakthrough research. We make sure that our allies get the facts and stay current. For us, science is a light that can dispel the darkness of ignorance and despair.

We provide information and tools to advocates for stem cell research, to help them:

• Distribute factual information about stem cell research,
• Communicate effectively,
• Encourage decision-makers to fund research and translate discoveries to cure, and
  
• Find strength and hope in our shared vision.
